Flexibility and New Work: The idea behind workstatt
Markus and Peter are the two managing directors of Leonhard GmbH. In this interview, they explain how workstatt came about and what goes on behind the scenes.
Peter Erhardt and Markus Sulz are the two leading minds behind workstatt. As managing directors of Leonhard GmbH, they have many years of experience regarding office environment. In our interview, they talk about how the idea came about and how it's being implemented.
workstatt: How did the idea for workstatt come about?
Markus: This idea has been with us for the past few months – and almost for years. As an office and commercial interior designer, Leonhard has grown significantly in recent years and is now more successful than ever before. Nevertheless, we recognize that we simply cannot perfectly meet certain needs of our customers yet.
Peter: Exactly. The demands of companies today have changed dramatically. Stability is virtually nonexistent and the entire working world has become agile. Our clients assemble new teams within a few days, and the needs for work equipment change almost daily. We want to address this ever-increasing flexibility and speed with workstatt. Our goal is to ultimately make teams even more productive, satisfied, and thus more successful. To achieve this, our clients can deploy sophisticated and proven work modules on-site in the shortest possible time. This allows us to perfectly meet recurring requirements.
workstatt: What do you do differently than existing online platforms?
Peter: Meeting customer needs is our top priority. Even though you can purchase individual products from us, our focus is on the work environments. Work environments include everything needed for seamless success in our costumers daily work. From multiple sockets to sophisticated whiteboard systems, we've got it all.
Markus: Our experience helps us develop our work environments so that they continue to function sustainably, even after years of use. To achieve this, we work closely with leading office furniture manufacturers. However, smaller designers and manufacturers are also important to us and often provide the eye-catchers for our designs.
workstatt: What happens in the background of workstatt?
Peter: We work with a team of over 50 people to make our customers happy. From the shop to logistics and installation, we provide a complete, worry-free package for our customers. All workspaces are delivered promptly and are professionally assembled on-site. Our customers can work productively in the workspaces from the moment they are installed. We also operate according to the DIN ISO 9001 standard to guarantee the highest quality.
Markus: The core of our work, of course, is the development of work environments. These are tested and continuously refined in Leonhard GmbH's worklab. Our decades of experience and the numerous large and small customers of Leonhard GmbH are particularly helpful in this regard. Last but not least, we enjoy working with our customers on new ideas and continuously incorporating their feedback into our designs.
workstatt: Thank you, Markus and Peter, for this interesting interview!
