There are many reasons for better understanding office space utilization. They range from collecting data prior to re-equipment to reducing office space due to the increased prevalence of home office work. Often, however, it's also about optimizing existing space, for example, when employees request more meeting options. The world of work is constantly changing, with employees' new requirements and desires. If you need a new office chair, desk, or storage solution, we can usually deliver it to you within 1-3 business days. We can also take care of the disposal of the packaging and transport it to the location of use upon request.

The story of workstatt
Gradually, new digitalization solutions were added, such as office space analysis using sensor technology. In the meantime, Leonhard GmbH merged with LEIK GmbH to become one of the largest office and commercial furnishing companies in Germany.
An idea is born
The idea for workstatt was born in mid-2022, as so often happens, on a cozy evening between digitalization experts Steffen Wütz and Tobias Große-Puppendahl and the managing directors of the then Leonhard GmbH, Markus Sulz and Peter Erhardt. The basic idea was born: How do we create a completely digital foundation for the future of office and facility furnishing?
First online shop
No sooner said than done – and so, at the end of 2022, the new joint venture "workstatt" was launched. Trademark rights were registered, and the first joint project was defined: an online shop for B2B and B2C. The sudden success was exciting and at the same time somewhat overwhelming for the newly assembled team. Over the next few months, we quickly learned the challenging business of selling office furniture online.
The LEIK merger
On September 1, 2023, Leonhard GmbH from Stuttgart and Kist Büro- und Objekteinrichtung GmbH from Offenburg merged to form LEIK GmbH. With eight locations in Germany and a team of over 160 people with 30 years of experience in the "New Work" sector, the newly founded LEIK GmbH is one of the leading office and contract furnishing companies. workstatt is now even more broadly positioned and welcomes the support of many new colleagues.
Smart Office
At the end of 2023, workstatt launched its next product: the analysis of office space using sensor technology. With this, the company addressed one of the most pressing problems: During the coronavirus pandemic, widespread home office regulations led to a review of the utilization of one's own workspace.
Relaunch of the online shop
With the merger into LEIK GmbH, workstatt also underwent a complete overhaul. With the transition to LEIK GmbH's new corporate identity, the online shop was completely redesigned to improve usability and, above all, better address the complex needs of business customers.
