Thanks to the flexible side members of the Vitra Physix, the backrest can be bent not only forwards or backwards, but also sideways, thus offering three-dimensional flexibility.

About Alberto Meda

Alberto Meda trained as an engineer but discovered his love of design early on. In 1969, he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and shortly thereafter began working in furniture production. Just about a decade later, he more or less entered the design field, working for prestigious companies such as Alfa Romeo and, eventually, Vitra.
