Not only is it Cradle-to-Cradle certified and almost 100% recyclable, it's even made largely from recycled material from the world's oceans. It also comes with comprehensive ergonomic features that ensure you can work not only sustainably but also healthily.

Why is the Remode so sustainable?

First of all, the Remode is made of more than 50% recycled materials. This means, for example, that 78% of the plastic in the Remode is made from recycled materials, of which approximately 60% is plastic from the oceans. The low weight and efficient material recycling have also resulted in significant emissions savings. Furthermore, the chair is over 98% recyclable.

Mesh back

The mesh back of the Ahrend Remode ensures good ventilation and prevents unpleasant sweating at the desk, even in summer. It also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of comfort.

3D-armrests

The Remode's 3D-armrests provide adjustability in all three dimensions, providing ideal support. The Pink Edition comes with 2D armrests, which are still ergonomically superior.

Lumbar support

The Ahrend Remode features lumbar support in all configurations available at workstatt, which protects the particularly vulnerable lower back and can thus prevent tension in the long term.

All of the Ahrend Remode's key settings are easily accessible via the switches on the seat. These are also labeled with easy-to-understand pictograms.

The Ahrend Remode is completely modular. This means that each of its individual parts can be easily removed and reattached at home. This not only allows for easy and thorough cleaning of all parts of the chair, but also makes repairs or replacing elements a breeze.

In an interview, Ahrend Remode designer Ben van Berkel discusses a variety of influences reflected in Ahrend Remode. The most prominent, however, is sportswear: "I love running. Good running shoes are an absolute must. They're comfortable, support the body, get us moving, and enhance our performance. That's exactly what the Remode does!"

Ben van Berkel is among the top European designers and architects. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, he has realized numerous unique and groundbreaking construction projects, including the Erasmus Bridge and the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. Sustainability has always been a top priority for him, making him the perfect choice for Ahrend to collaborate on developing their most sustainable office chair.

Der Steelcase Please hat uns voll überzeugt. Schwachstellen aus der vorherigen Version wurden konsequent von Steelcase beseitigt.
